Desean Jackson

Was what Desean Jackson did sunday night against the giants tuanting??? In my opinion, Desean jackson was running along the sidlines trying to make sure that the clock was completly run down.in hopes that the giants would not receive another chance with the ball. yes there is a clock in the end zones of the meadowlands but it seems like jackson was more focused on where he was on the field and where the giants players were. after watching a highlight of Jacksons last second punt return i have noticed that Jackson looks at a giants player being blocked, the sidlines, the endzone, and finally his opponents. when he ran along the sideline he was not taunting he was being a smart veteran player. Even with Jackson's past history of taughnting, leaving the ball on the one yard line twice in his career and falling backwards this was no taughnt. He sho boated by pointing the ball into the air and by throwing it in to the stands but running across the goal line, after get the ball with 14 seconds left in the game, was a smart idea.

Rumblin Bumblin Stumblin!!!

In the words of Chris Berman, Rumblin,Bumblin, Stumblin. Doiwn the field # 63 Dan Connolly went. On his first Career Kickoff return. he took the ball back 71-yards only 5 yards short of a touchdown. Throwin in some juke moves and a stiffarm to green Bay safety Charlie Peprah, Connoly was able to truck his way down the field for one of the best kick returns by a LINE MAN ever.

Patriots Vs Jets

J.E.T.S JETS JETS JETS. Was the main noise coming from the meadowlands the last time these two AFC champion caleber teams faced off with the Jets prevailing over the patriots 28-14. But this will not be the case when monday night roles around these two 8-2 teams are both looking for a division clinching win. but in my opinion the patriots want it more. they are looking for revenge. after there humiliating loss to the jets in week 2.

Should we be good school?

I read an article writen by Tony Baldasaro that ask the question " Should i be teaching my kids how NOT to be good at school?" in this article the writer talks about how being good at school is not really going to help you in the long run. that is unless you plane to do hat your doing in school for the rest of your life. So in response to his question i think you should not teach your kids how not to be good at school. yes, i do understand where he is coming from , that you don't need to know how to find information that is already known. but by learning how to find this information you could eventually learn how to make your own information to be found. meaning by learning to find information you will learn how to progress that information with your own personnel feed back.

Helmet's, No Helmet's, or Helmet's with no facemask.

The NFL is cracking down on the Head to Head hits made by Defensemen and the action of leading with your head as a running back / wide receiver. What are some ways the NFL could prevent some of these completely unnecessary acts of violence. One way is that they could remove the Helmet completely. This would make it so defense men will want to lead more with there shoulder so they do not hurt there head, and it will also prevent running backs and wide receivers from leading with there head when they are running with the ball. Another way the NFL could possibly prevent these hits are what Mike Ditka Former NFL coach said “I said a long time ago if you want to change the game take the mask off the helmet ,It will change the game a lot. If you want to change the game and get it back to where people aren’t striking with the head and using the head as a weapon, take the mask off the helmet”( http://youbeenblinded.com/mike-ditka-take-the-mask-off-the-helmet/2220) this is a valid point a main reason that this would help is what Ditka went on to say. He said that there are a lot of “pretty Boys” that are not going to want to lead with there head, because they don’t want to disorient there faces. With taking the Mask off of the helmet you protect the players head and make them less likely to want to use it as a weapon.

Are NFL Refree's to protective of the QB.

The NFL today is not what it used to be! The Referee’s are becoming way too protective of the entire player’s not just the Quarterback. But diffidently the quarterback unparticular. I am not saying that there should not be rules to prevent helmet to helmet hits, or low shots to a players knee, but when a referee calls an unnecessary roughness call on a player that is sacking the quarter back, and just so happened to hit his helmet in the slightest bit that is where I draw the line. Yes, the quarterback is the most important player on the team but that does not mean they should get any special treatment from the referee’s. If you are a Professional football player playing in the NFL you should know that no matter what position you play your are going to get hit. And hit hard. Why should a quarter back get any more penalties called in his favor for getting hit a little harder then some one like a Wide receiver, or a running back.

What makes somthing a sport.

What are sports? Baseball, Football, Basketball, Hockey, and soccer are the main five sports that come up when talking about popular sports. But these are not the only sports out there! People look at sports like Golf, Tennis, cheer leading, and swimming like they are just games or activities that people do for fun. but in retro spec these are sports no matter which way you look at it. a sport is something that lets people either show off there athletic ability or there technique and knowledge of the game that they decide to play.As a Tennis player i hear all the time " oh aha ya he plays tennis.. its not a real sport" but trust me when i say tennis is one of the hardest sports i have ever played in my life. not only do u need an excessive amount of endurance to play matches that are some times 3-4 hours long, but you also need the technique and the knowledge to know how to hit the ball in certain ways and when you need to hit it and where you need to put it. so yes tennis is a sport so are almost all of the other "games" that people use athletic ability.

I think that next year when our School (Burlington High school converts more to One on One we should keep the desks and class rooms the way that they are. in row with desks. I personnally feel like when i am in a class that i more structured i perform better then when im in a room that is all close and confined.

OVER RATED

The Miami Heat big 3 are what can be called "over Rated". not only did they lose their opening game in Boston against the Celtics, they did it in dramatic fashion. With the Celtics leading the game at points by more then 15 the Heat substituted out Dwayne Wade one of the members of the new big 3. once Wade was out Eddie House lead the Heat on a comback, with the help of Lebron James who Managed to Drop 30+ points in his opening regular season game as a member of the heat. Even thou House was only in for around 5 minutes he and James were able to bring the Heat back with in 3 points of the Celtics, late in the 4th quarter. with about 2 minutes left in the game Wade was suppstituted back in for House and the celtics again surged a head to a 88-80 point vicotry over the covident Miami Heat.

RSA aimation

In the youtube video RSA Animation Ken robinson acuratly describes the real reason as to why the ADHD "epidemic" is increasing over the years. this reason is that kids now a days are more pro to play video games instead of studying. with the new advances in technology kids get more of a chance to do things that entertain them instead of like the video said "boring stuff".

Middlesex league soccer refs are terrible.

yesterday the burlington high school red devils soccer team faced off against stoneham high school in a boys varsity soccer game. there were 3 diffrent instences when the refs happened to completly blow a call and left the red devils with a loss. the first was the refs called an off sides penalty on a burlington player who was a godd 2 feet behind his opponent. he had scored but the goal was not counted. then there was a nother call for a hand ball when there wasnt and a not called penalty that gave stone ham the win.

Self Directed learning

I personally believe that students like myself struggle with self directed learning for a couple of reasons. One reason is that there is basically no guide or teacher that is telling you to do something a certain way or in a certain time frame.  When I get an assignment I will usually wait until just about the last minute to do it. This is because I have no one pushing me or telling me that I need to spend time on it. Once I have to do it I feel rushed or pressured all at once and that does not really provide me with a positive learning atmosphere. That is when I am nervous, stressed, and cramming. Another reason I believe students have trouble with self directed learning is there are a lot of distractions when there is no one around to tell you to focus. There are friends, music, computers, TV’s and a lot more electronic and non electronic devices that make it hard for students to focus on work; that to them is boring when they have something that is more interesting or more fun to do at the time.

Redsox Play Off Hopes Shatered.

After taking 2 out of 2 games against the New York Yankees the Boston Redsox relief pitcher okajima walked in the Yankees winnimg run in the bottom of the 10th inning. to just about destroy any chance the redsox had at making a post season run. with that loss the Redsox Feel to 6.5 games back out of the wild card instead of surging to 4.5. this is a rough loss fot the Redsox and for Redsox Nation. due to this loss the only possible hope the Sox have left is to win out for the rest of the season and for the new York yankees to lose out. But with the redsox and yankees plaing each other another three times this cenario is highly unlikly.

WEB 2.0 PLN

In order to make my own personnel PLN I am going to continue to use social networking sites such as twitter, face book, and blogger. By doing this I will be able to interact with a lot of people both friends and people I may not know yet. I will be able to get to know these people a lot better by looking at their likes, dislikes interests, hobbies and other things that they may be interested in. I will also try to use any other sites that might give me a chance to communicate better with my peers and people in my community.

Post: Thoughts on viedo

To start off i  find that the first statment made on ths screen is absolutly correct. why ban facebook or other socil media sites because kids are being bullys. kids also bull other kids in school, at school events, on the playground or in the lunch line, and you dont see any one trying g to ban any of that stuff. Another thing is this principle stats that 2 % of people bully using these sites, even if you ban these sites that is not going to stop those few 2% from bullying, they will find another wayif they are that set on it. so i think that we should teach kids how to use these sites and how to act when on them instead of banning them in the first place.
